Passing By
29 April - 22 May 2021
Liverpool Street Gallery is proud to announce Kevin Connor's Passing By, an exhibition of major paintings and rare & unseen recent works.
Kevin's describes his work has a type of "intuitive-ism", whereby the figures, locations and visions are felt rather than seen. In fact, it is the locations and subjects that close to the artist's heart; Stanley street in Darlinghurst, Cafe's in Melbourne and the people that inhabit them.
Kevin Connor was born in 1932 and has lived and worked in Sydney for most his life. He has painted and studied in London, Paris, New York, Spain and Egypt. Connor’s first solo exhibition was in 1962 and he has since held regular solo exhibitions. He has exhibited in the Archibald Prize 27 times, winning the Archibald in 1975 and 1977. Connor's work is held in all major Australian museums.
